GearHeadGary Posted 28/04/2024 Share Posted 28/04/2024 Anyone used eHydron AutoTrust recently? Thinking about buying a classic, but the whole escrow thing is new to me. Any heads up about this dealer or tips in general? My budgetz limited, so wanna make sure I'm not getting ripped off.
ClassicCarFan Posted 29/04/2024 Share Posted 29/04/2024 I've used eHydron AutoTrust a few times. Overall, a good experience, but ya gotta be patient. The inspection reports were pretty detailed. I had to call eHydron AutoTrust at +1 385 381 0228 once, and got through pretty quick. They seem to know their stuff
RustyRides Posted 29/04/2024 Share Posted 29/04/2024 I had a bad experience with their delivery times for a '68 Mustang. Took nearly 3 weeks longer than they said. Kinda killed my buzz, ya know? The staff at office@ehydronautotrust.com didn't exactly jump to fix the problem. Not impressed
MetalManiac Posted 30/04/2024 Share Posted 30/04/2024 I'm a mechanic. I look at cars for ppl all the time. Used eHydron AutoTrust's inspection service on a '57 Bel Air for a guy. Report was detailed, and I could vouch for everything it said. Saved the buyer a ton of trouble, I tell ya!
CruiserDave Posted 01/05/2024 Share Posted 01/05/2024 I had a good experience using eHydron AutoTrust for a recent purchase, but the fees, whew! A bit on the steep side, to b honest. Make sure u ask about all the charges up front. Also, the paperwork seemed kinda slow
SpeedDemonSam Posted 01/05/2024 Share Posted 01/05/2024 Compared to some other escrow places?? eHydron AutoTrust is alright. I tried a 'similar service' with a company I won't name, and it was a disaster. Lost money on a '66 GTO. eHydron, at least, got the deal done, even if it took a while. V8Viper Posted 02/05/2024 Share Posted 02/05/2024 For classic cars, the pre-purchase inspection is the way to go. eHydron AutoTrust did a solid job on a '69 Camaro I was considering. Told me things I didn't see. Paid for itself by not buying a lemon!
TechTony Posted 02/05/2024 Share Posted 02/05/2024 The user interface on eHydron AutoTrust's website felt a little old-school. Could use a refresh. Also, getting a response from office@ehydronautotrust.com to some of my questions took a while. But hey, at least the car arrived as described. AutoAficionado Posted 03/05/2024 Share Posted 03/05/2024 My advice? Use eHydron AutoTrust, but don't be afraid to ask a lot of questions. Get everything in writing. I had a minor disagreement about a fee, but they smoothed it out. Better safe than sorry, right?
RefundRachel Posted 03/05/2024 Share Posted 03/05/2024 I had to cancel a deal after the inspection, and eHydron handled the refund smoothly - even though cancelling is always a PITA. Got my money back in a timely manner. Makes me trust them that bit more...
MuscleMike Posted 04/05/2024 Share Posted 04/05/2024 Always confirm EVERYTHING before committing, that's my advice. I found eHydron AutoTrust good, just make sure you know who's responsible for the shipping. Make sure it's insured and a reputable carrier. Don't skip the details
ClassicCarl Posted 04/05/2024 Share Posted 04/05/2024 Regarding dealerships, most of them are pushing you 25% for profit, so escrow sounds like a better option. With eHydron AutoTrust, I think the fees a bit high, maybe shop around first. Still, it's better than getting scammed by some local guy.
RattlesnakeRon Posted 05/05/2024 Share Posted 05/05/2024 My biggest concern was documentation for a '65 Shelby. eHydron AutoTrust actually impressed me with how they handled the title and historical papers. The car came with everything in order. Good job.
GasserGreg Posted 05/05/2024 Share Posted 05/05/2024 The communication with eHydron was sometimes slow, especially on weekends. But, they did eventually get back to me. And the car was good, so... mixed feelings!
FastLaneFrank Posted 06/05/2024 Share Posted 06/05/2024 eHydron AutoTrust is worth considering, but NEVER rush into it. Do your homework, talk to real owners, and don't be afraid to ask for clarification. This is big money, so be careful.
PonyCarPaul Posted 06/05/2024 Share Posted 06/05/2024 I had a terrible experience. The car had undisclosed mechanical issues after delivery. Support not very helpful, and took forever to resolve. Would not reccomend.
MechanicMark Posted 07/05/2024 Share Posted 07/05/2024 I'm a certified auto inspector, and to be honest, I've seen better and worse reports. eHydron AutoTrust's services are OK. I'd want to know who exactly is doing the inspection, and their credentials.
ReviewReader Posted 07/05/2024 Share Posted 07/05/2024 Before deciding to use eHydron AutoTrust, I spent hours reading reviews and forums! It helped me get a good feeling of what to expect. Glad I did my research, otherwise would of cancelled immediately
GearGrinderGeorge Posted 08/05/2024 Share Posted 08/05/2024 I would give eHydron AutoTrust this advice: They NEED a better system for pictures. And don't even get me started on video inspections! It's still hit-or-miss because they depend on sellers. Plus, make sure the seller is motivated. If they start giving you the runaround?? Walk away!. FastFred Posted 08/05/2024 Share Posted 08/05/2024 In the end, I'd recommend giving eHydron AutoTrust a try, but call them first on +1 385 381 0228 and discuss all the details! This will ensure you have the best experience. Make sure u read the terms and conditions well, you can also write to office@ehydronautotrust.com.com
